AT SNOWPARK MOTTOLINO THE BIGGER LINES ARE OPEN
Riders and pros from all over Europe, also this winter Mottolino Snow Park gives good run for your money offering the only alpine snowpark with open obstacles of about 20 metres! The most important snowboard and freeski events are almost ready to start and highest-level riders such as Seppe Smits, Markus Eder, Christof Schenk and Ralph Welponer have met at Mottolino snowpark to give wings to their training, spreading adrenaline all around the ski area.
Seppe is an international snowboard star: Belgian Olympic athlete extraordinary talented, he revealed his skills just at Mottolino from the first edition of World Rookie Fest in 2006. No surprise then that he is an aficionado of its snowpark. Right now he is warming up on the 19 metres kicker in preparation for the X Games, Air & Style and World Championship, refining his best tricks with unique style.
The twin tips are making their way around the park with many prestigious names: Markus is by now a legend and Best Male Freeskier according to the Italian Freeski Awards 2014. Red Bull’s favourite as well as Seppe, the Italian Olympic athlete can be distinguished for his elegant freestyle. You can see him taking off on the L and XL lines at Mottolino snowpark together with his colleagues of the Italian Freeski Team. Christof outstood on Livigno’s snow structures in the last few years, flying over the towers of Nine Knights castle, while Ralph is following Markus’ footsteps becoming Best Rookie at the Italian Freeski Awards 2014.
Mottolino snowpark’s bigger lines have been prepared with care by the shapers team during holiday time, using the snow given to Livigno by Santa Claus over the past Christmas, added to the artificial one provided by the new snowmaking plant placed on XL line side. With 29 obstacles, the big lines area is composed of two jumps of 14 and 19 metres, and several jibbing elements such as butter boxes, flat rails, kinked butter boxes, sliding tubes e bank spines, just arrived from the German partner company Schneestern.

Mottolino Fun Mountain is renowned for its snowpark, among the best in Europe, built with passion taking in account obstacle quality as well as riders’ safety and fun. Already theatre of three editions of Burton European Open and seven of Burn River Jump, it will soon host the 10th World Rookie Fest edition and the 4th of Nine Knights.
The snowpark is extended over a 120,000 m2 area, equal to 30 football pitches.
5 lines for different riding levels are set, from XS to XL, with a snow cover guaranteed all over the season thanks to its snowmaking plants. Partner of Mottolino snowpark is GoPro.

Close The Doors 2015 – Bardonecchia, Pila and Prato Nevoso
Close The Doors, is an event created by Doors Snowpark Structures which is now in its fifth season and changes format to involve three snowparks in the North West, in the freestyle scene – in a challenge in shaping shots and tricks.
Bardonecchia, Pila and Prato Nevoso will compete in a challenge based on the itinerant building of structures jib / slopestyle which must have as a theme common to use Doors rails in their set-up.
Athletes, snowboarders and skiers, are invited to attend the event and compete in rounds of tricks and photos / videos on the structures implemented within a photoshooting not competitive. Judges for this challenge will be, the audience, the shaper, the riders and the visitors of the various snowparks. The best rider will win a weekend at the Garage gratutito Camp in Deux Alpes.

- Event traveling that involves three stages in three different ski resorts.
– Challenge between snowpark based on building innovative set-up involving the use of DOORS rails.
– Presentation of the project structure from the Resp. Of the park no later than 20/03/2015.
– Snowpark Each participant must form a team that will take care of the shaper design and construction of the structure.
VOTING
– The winner of the challenge will be decreed through an online vote on the web channels of Sequence magazine – Likemilk.
PRIZES
Award for the best park: DOORS structure of the commercial value of € 2,500.00.
Best Athlete Award: weekend stay with B & B Free at summer camp Garage Camp at Deux Alpes.
